What hasn’t changed?
Although, as explained earlier, our name has changed
and our criteria for membership has changed, enabling
many more men and women to join with us, our core
work has not changed. We continue, as we have always
done, to look for opportunities to place Scriptures in all
sorts of locations.
You may be familiar with the Bibles we place in hotel
rooms and schools – but did you know that we also
work with sports teams, such as rugby and football,
armed forces, and in many other areas of everyday life?
Our reach has expanded over the years and, with new
members, we can introduce even more people to God’s
love. It’s our quest to share Jesus with everyone.
Recently, we launched the Gospel of John in a colourful
magazine format, including extracts from the Psalms,
which during COVID lockdown was distributed in prisons,
hospitals, foodbanks, by churches to their communities,
and in many other places.
Reaching Schools
We take assemblies and lead religious education lessons
whenever we are invited. This has not changed.
In addition to leading assemblies and distributing New
Testaments, schools across the country are also inviting
us to lead religious education lessons. What a privilege to
speak truth, hope and love into the lives of our nation’s
children and young people. We know so many take great
comfort from the personal New Testaments we give to
them – often igniting a life-long journey of faith.
“In 1976 you distributed New
Testaments at my school to all in my
year. That Bible became my constant
companion. THANK YOU for your work.”
Rebecca, recipient of a Bible.
