On 24 February 2022, Russia invaded Ukraine, starting
the largest and deadliest war in Europe since World War
II with hundreds of thousands of military casualties and
tens of thousands of Ukrainian civilian casualties.
With grateful thanks to the generosity of members,
Friends, churches, and other supporters, and by
God’s grace, GOOD NEWS for Everyone!, working in
partnership with Mission Eurasia, has been able to
provide funds towards the provision of Mark’s Gospel to
members of Ukraine’s armed forces.
Mission Eurasia realised there was a great need for those
serving in the Ukrainian Armed Forces to have a copy of
God’s Word and provided a Gospel of Mark for Ukrainian
Military Personnel. It’s had an amazing impact and Brad
Willey, Director of Ministry Development at Mission
Eurasia in Canada, explains the background and shares
some further testimonies with us:

“This edition of the Gospel of Mark has become a
unique resource for the ministry of Military Chaplains.
The concept, content (including messages, prayers,
testimonies, and contact information), design, and
distribution strategy were developed by Lieutenant
Denys Gorenkov and the team at the Ukrainian
Armed Forces Military Chaplain Training Center. Three
specialised editions were created to meet the specific
needs of three categories of military personnel: new
recruits, women in the military, and sergeants and
officers. 5,000 copies were printed for each category,
totalling 15,000 copies for the first printing of the Gospel
of Mark. The Gospels are being distributed to Ukrainian
soldiers through Military Chaplains. To date, over 5,000
Ukrainian service members have received a copy of the
Gospel of Mark. We are blessed that GOOD NEWS for
Everyone! has been able to fund some of these Gospels.”
