he had heard Alan and Pablo’s conversation, so they began
sharing the Good News. Shortly afterwards he confessed
his need of Christ and invited Him into his heart and life.
Then a church member took his contact details to follow
him up.
Nine minutes later Alexis and Victor, two rough
sleepers, received Jesus as their Saviour. The lady from
the local church then explained the help her church
could offer and they decided to go there rather than
the Catholic church.
“Clearly the Lord had gone before us, preparing
hearts…many believed in Jesus, but didn’t know
how to receive Him…All glory to God. “
Jane had been asked to pray for Miguel, a very poorly
gentleman, at the end of a hospital visit. “As a nurse,
I could tell that Miguel had very little time left on
this earth. With Flo, our interpreter, to help me, and
permission from his son, I laid my hand softly on
Miguel’s forehead and knowing that hearing is the
last thing to go when one is unconscious, I prayed
that he would accept Jesus in the last few hours of
his life. I told him that Jesus loved him and died for
his sins, and if he would just say sorry to God for
the wrong he had done and ask for forgiveness
then he would have a place in heaven.
I then spoke to Miguel’s son, and offered him
an Esperanza magazine, explaining again what
I had said to his father. I said that if he accepted
he was a sinner and said sorry to God, then
he would see his father one day in heaven.
I encouraged him to find an Evangelical church
to go to on the Sunday. With tears running
down his face, he thanked me and said
he would.”
