Roger had an amazing journey out with the people he met.
He writes:
“At long last the departure date arrived, and I found
myself at my local train station heading for Heathrow
Airport, full of excitement and prayer dedicating the
mission to the Lord, when a lady boarded the train and
sat next to me.
On the train she noticed the Personal Worker Testament
(PWT) beside me and thought that I might drop it. What
a golden opportunity to talk to her about it and it soon
became apparent that we had a common interest in
London City Mission’s ministry to the homeless, which
allowed me to share the good news of the Gospel which
they preach. I also shared the purpose of my journey,

for a call from a church.
All of this before the mission had started! All glory to God.”
Two hours outside of Lima in a covered market all the
teams were busy and the translators were hard at it and so
Roger thought he would try to find somebody to speak to
in English, but to no avail.
“This was not surprising given where we were, but it did
happen and not only was the young lady very fluent in
English; she also came to faith! As she was giving her
follow-up details a lady who I recognised as being part of
the local churches support team came up to us. The new
