Thank you to all those who have supported us in prayer for the Church Leaders' lunch in London today. The Lord blessed when we had 29 leaders and 11 Gideons who showed interest in the future London Scripture Focus from 4th - 8th September. Please pray that they will enthuse their Congregations to support us in prayer and invite us to give a Church Presentation. Also that Branches too will catch the vision.

It was with greatness that we learnt of the passing of Martym, but with a sense of shared relief for Joan and the family, knowing that his ordeal through dementia was at an end the we thank the Lord that he didn't suffer any pain. He wasn't old and always seemed younger than his years having been so active in his retirement from business in his church and the Gideon branch. Previously a partner in an architects practice with over 300 staff, he still found time to take an Open University degree. Cycling and walking were his great interests and he was an acknowledged expert on wild flowers.

He and Joan have been Members of the Wolverhampton Branch for 40+ years, and Martyn's role particularly as Chairman with his unique sense of humour brought a dimension to the Branch which is already sorely missed.

Martyn has heard His Lord's "Well done, good and faithful servant"

Please continue to pray for Joan as she and the family move forward in the Lord's will.

May I firstly thank you for your prayerful support at a time when important decisions had to be made.

Less than three weeks ago Joyce was told she would definitely require dialysis but this has all changed – probably due, in part  to her medication being changed.

Although the tumour on Joyce’s right kidney has continued to grow the kidney consultant then informed us that her left kidney function has improved significantly!

He advised that this change now enables him to remove the right kidney and tumour knowing that her left kidney should now be able to function without dialysis or chemotherapy being necessary.

    What an answer to prayer!

Because of this Joyce is due to have an operation on 8th May 2019 which, assuming all goes well will then only require a course of tablets.

Please continue to pray for a successful operation on 8th May.

    Every blessing

    In Him

    Mike & Joyce
