Please pray for my husband Alan's cousin David Montgomery who has coronavirus. He is critically ill on a ventilator in the South Western Acute Hospital, Enniskillen, N. Ireland.  At present his heart rate is erratic and he is on 100% oxygen.  His chest x-ray is showing no improvement in his condition.  He is a 55 year old Christian farmer.

This school has been closed for about 4 years, but prayer appears to be changing that and  thanks  also to Christian teachers, the school CU, and Branch member John Milman.  Pray for John especially as he has to make further practical arrangments as year assemblies are no longer an option.

Pray for Gordon who is once again in Bournemouth Hospital, almost completely paralysed now with just some movement in his left arm. Also difficult to eat and speak on account of Neuralgia.  I visited him and prayed with him on 27/01.  After leaving him, a Hindu nurse followed me out of the ward to ask if I shared his tremendous faith in such adversity. She has been 'looking at Christianity'. Pray for her and praise God for Gordon's amazing witness in such adversity. May we all emulate  his example

Pray for Elizabeth Melaniphy, Dorset North East and Purbeck Branch who hopes to complete the last stages of delivering 200 copies of HOPE magazine to hospitals, nursing and care homes,  and including Swanage,Wimborne, Brandford, and Wareham hospitals.  Reception everywhere has been enthusiastic, even though Elizabeth only gets to front doors where the magazines are sanitised. Lets pray the greater result will be sanctification, not just sanitation. Pray for fruit from this sowing of the Seed

  • Gideon Nate Okonkwo - now in Glory

Havering Branch is sad to announce the death on 30th January 2020 of our dear brother in Jesus Christ, Nate Okonkwo, following a recent coronary condition. Nate joined Havering branch of Gideons in 2011. He was an enthusiastic member, holding the posts of IOM Officer and Services Officer, as well as taking part in many scripture distribution opportunities in schools, colleges, the local hospital, church presentations and street events. He also took part in the London Scripture blitz in 2011 and the the 2012 Olympics outreach.

Nate suffered from a heart condition for several months and was being treated in Queens Hospital, Romford where he contracted an infection, which sadly took his life. Nate leaves his wife Dorothy and their two adult sons, Jay and Michael, who all worship at Whycliffe Christian Fellowship church in Rainham, Essex. In accordance with Nate's wishes, following a Thanksgiving service at Whycliffe Nate's body will be taken to Nigeria for burial in his families' home town.

Nate was a senior Elder at Whycliffe Christian Fellowship and, although he was a gentle, quiet spoken man his love for his Saviour Jesus Christ and the Gospel was clear and powerful. He will be dearly missed, but we rejoice that Nate is now in glory with his Father God and His Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Do please pray for Dorothy, Jay, Michael and their family and friends as well as the Whycliffe Fellowship, that God will bless them with His strength, peace, hope and love in Jesus Christ at this time and in the months ahead.

Thank you, in the Love and Name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour,

    Ian Seabrook,

    Treasurer, Havering Branch 126

Please pray for Simon, the son of Jeremy and Elizabeth Brewer, in hospital with Covid19.   Simon is a strong believer and an elder in a church.  He works as the director of pathology services in St George's Tooting, London. He didn't come home last weekend, and it is there that he was admitted yesterday. He is about 10 days into his illness, and it is around that time that some folk get breathing difficulties.  He is on oxygen, and feels better with that, but he is still obviously quite unwell. Please pray that his need for oxygen will soon pass. Please pray for his wife and family too.
