Please pray for the Steering Committee members as we make the preparations for the distribution of Bibles to Hotels etc., contact local Church Leaders, and arrange the personal witnessing at the Games themselves. Of particular concern is acceptance of Bibles by Hotels and Guest Houses as many have removed existing copies to comply with Covid 19 security concerns. We would also like local branches to encourage Friends to get involved. Wendy Patterson, Pastoral Support, Commonwealth Games 2022 Steering Committee

Bas has called with the news that Jean is back in hospital. She really didn't want to go back into hospital but her doctor persuaded her that it was the best place for her at the moment.
Bas says that she isn't able to keep food down and isn't drinking much either. She is sleeping most of the time. Mobility is difficult.
Please continue to pray for them both.

Please remember in your prayers Richard, one of the earliest Members, of Wolverhampton Branch, his wife Elizabeth and their family. Below is the email received from his son-in-law -
Sadly I have to report that Richard, my father-in-law is in Princess Royal Hospital. He's had a major stroke followed by a series of seizures. The medics aren't able to do anything other than make him comfortable. There's a small chance he may improve a bit but it's difficult to imagine him being well enough to come home. He certainly won't be the same again. The hospital have allowed visits from Rachel, Marc and Sarah [children] because his prognosis isn't good. He's in the Lord's hands!

Any prayers for Elizabeth and the family are appreciated.

Kenny has now peacefully gone home to glory. We give thanks to God for the fellowship we enjoyed with him, especially for the Christian witness he bore and for the peace which he knew and displayed to many during the last 4 months of his illness. Please uphold Libby and the family as they grieve the loss of Kenny. May they know the comfort of the Lord and reflect on Kenny’s faith.
