Further to the last update, Katherine continues with chemo until end of March then another scan. But she has been very tired, and sick at times, not easy with the two young boys, (age 6 & 2).
Husband Ian is at home at the moment but will be back offshore soon. That means Jenny will have to stay at Katherine’s. David said Katherine was very “ low” last week but suddenly she felt God’s embrace and realised it could only have come through prayer. Please keep up prayer for all the family. “Prayer changes things”

  • Bill Capper - answered prayer!

Thank you for praying that Bill would be discharged from hospital before there was another bout of Covid and a further period of isolation.

Heather reports that Bill made it home yesterday, he was pretty tired and slept quite a lot - "we'll just have to wait and see how things go. Anyway, I feel it was such an answer to my prayers, .... at the moment, Lindsey and I will, with the Lord's help, see how we cope...a social worker will get in touch in a week or two to see how things are going...."
Praise the Lord for this first step but we need to pray on for recovery.

  • PRAY for our Nation

    Posted by: G9017

Let us join together in praying for our Nation as we pause at the end of the year to reflect and give thanks to God for His providential care but also as we look ahead knowing that "Yet I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand. You guide me with your counsel, and afterwards you will take me into glory" (Ps 73:23,24).
It would be good to cry out to God together on New Year's Eve (11-12noon) and/or New Year's Day (8-9am) as we pray for:
    >those who are suffering or have suffered from the effects of the Covid virus.
    >the mental well-being of those affected by lock-down and anxiety.
    >families who have suffered the loss of a loved one.
    >NHS staff, carers and all front-line workers.
    >those who have lost their jobs.
    >the effective roll-out of the vaccine.
    >businesses facing an uncertain future.
    >churches that have been closed or have suffered reduced numbers and dis-unity.
    >our Government and national leaders as they make hard decisions.
    >a smooth transition following all the Brexit negotiations.
    >the spiritual health of the nation, that many will come into Christ's Kingdom including those in our neighbourhoods who have been so kind and those who have received a copy of God's word or a Hope magazine.

If these times do not work for you we could also come together for prayer on Saturday 9th January (9.00-10.00am) and consider having a branch Zoom prayer meeting.
