I would be grateful for any prayers for a new peaceful neighbour next door. The present couple take drugs, drink and argue constantly. Thank you all and God Bless you.

Members of the Lancashire North branch attended the Freshers' Fair at Cumbria University (Lancaster Campus) in September.
200 Student NTs were given out together with 12 Hope Magazines and some good conversations took place.
Prayers would be welcomed for good responses from those who took NTs and magazines.

Members were asked recently to pray for the upcoming Freshers' Fayre on September 25th.
We are pleased to report that more than 500 assorted Scriptures were given out, plus Hope magazines, and QR codes.
We are reminded that someone plants, another waters, and God gives the increase. So the Fayre was "merely" the planting of the seed. It nows needs watering with prayer, with the faith and confidence to believe that God will indeed add to the Kingdom those who read and trust. Please pray on. Many thanks for your support

It is with sadness that we report that Ivor Saunders, of Wolverhampton Branch, has gone to be with the Lord. Ivor was a dedicated Member for around 40 years, serving in various posts, including Chaplain, as he was a very able Bible teacher. His passion was for the Schools and he built up a tremendous rapport with the Wolverhampton schools, when, of course, it was much easier to access them, than it is now. When Ivor retired from the probation service, he became a non-stipend minister, necessitating him resigning as a Gideon. However, undeterred he continued to attend Branch business and prayer meetings, often taking the devotions and leading in prayer. He was always supported by his wife, Wendy, who predeceased him some years ago. Ivor will be sorely missed throughout the city, as well as in the Branch, but we are comforted with the certain knowledge that he is with the Lord that he loved and faithfully served.

Please pray for the witness and distribution of Scriptures and Hope Magazines at the above event on Monday 25th September 2023. The Branch has been made welcome for quite a number of years and this year is no exception.
As always, a Freshers Fayre can be quite a challenge for overseas students having just arrived in the UK, prior to settling in with their chosen studies. May these young people, in particular, not forgetting our own citizens, of course, be prepared to accept copies of the Word of God, and/or QR codes to sustain them in their time at Uni., and, indeed, bring them to a knowledge of Christ as Saviour.

John Fisher a member of Poole Branch is seriously ill and in intensive care but making a little progress and is likely to be in hospital for many weeks under daily treatment.

Answer to your prayers: the Event went well and two ladies have joined the Bournemouth Branch and another couple indicated they would once they are back in this country for longer periods. They are currently overseas for half the year.

So thank you for praying. We plan to restart Branch activities from September.

Please pray for the Region 7 team who are preparing to run a recruitment event in the Bournemouth area on 12th July. Please pray that all involved will know God's guidance, and that everything will go to plan as the team prepare for the event.

Please also pray that those who have been contacted and invited to the event will come along, and that this will lead to new members joining the Bournemouth Branch.

Please pray for the planned presentation of many New Testaments at the Year 6 leavers services at Winchester and Portsmouth Cathedrals in June. Pray that all will receive a Testament, and will be blessed by reading it.

Please pray for Duncan Harvey as he plans to meet church leaders in the Bournemouth area on 13th to 15th June to discuss a GNFE recruitment event being planned in that area for later this year. Please pray that the names of some people who can be invited to the recruitment event will come out of these church leader meetings, and that God will bring the right people into the branch so they will be able to continue with the Lord's work in this area.
