Please pray for John and Faith over the coming weeks - John writes:
..... I heard yesterday afternoon from Royal Sussex County Hospital Cardiology Unit that I have now been given an anticipated date for my operation.

I should have my ECG this afternoon (21st), then have a PCR Test at Princess Royal Hospital on Wednesday afternoon, after which I have to self-isolate until after the weekend. I then have to contact the RSCH Cardiac Ward on Monday morning to check that they have a bed for me. Assuming they can still admit me (and that the PCR test result is satisfactory), I should be admitted later that day for operation on Tuesday 28th.
Faith and I have shared the news with our family and, apart from being somewhat bowled over by the change of pace of things, we remain relaxed, knowing that we (and everyone else involved) are very much in the Lord's hands. Faith still has her eye surgery to consider as well, although a visit to the eye hospital yesterday morning proved very helpful and positive. So, due to the sudden turn of events, we would like to share a few suggestions, which we hope, while not exhaustive, will be helpful to you, as we ask you to support us in prayer at this time.

While we and our family are still "taking one day at a time", please give thanks with us for the recent encouragements and pray (a) that no events should cause further delays, such as we've experienced up until now, (b) for no major deterioration in our conditions (and for continued patience) while we wait God's own time for further developments, (c) for the avoidance of conflict between our respective operation dates and recovery times in due course, (d) for wisdom, health and steady hands for surgeons, as well as (e) for strength, stamina - and so much more - for the nursing staff and all other support staff in these challenging days for NHS staff, during the time when we would hope to move towards safe recovery and return to something like normal life again.
However, above all these things, please pray that opportunities may occur for God's hand to be seen in every step of the way as both Faith and I relate to others during these anticipated events, as and when they take place.

Kindly pray for Rosario as she supports her brother, Carlos, in Lima. Carlos is receiving treatment for cancer. Please pray for Carlos to know Jesus as Saviour and Comforter at this time.

Please pray for God’s blessing on the Blitz and in particular for God’s guidance and wisdom in all the preparations, including checking of data bases for the areas to be covered:

2 Funeral Directors
3 Care Homes – Please pray in particular that there will be adequate Large Print Testaments available from existing Branch stocks, as there will be none available to order.
4 Personal Witnessing – Pray for the Personal Witnessing event to be held on Saturday 17th September 2022 in High Street Southend-on Sea.
5. Church Leaders Meal to be held on Thursday 15th September 2022 at Kingswood Baptist Church Basildon.

Finally please pray for volunteers to be available to pray and help in this Blitz for His Glory.

Basil went home to be with his Lord in the early hours of today Tuesday 7th June. In the few weeks that he was immobilised in hospital, he gave away about 150 PWTs. Please pray for his family, sons, daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Dear Brothers & Sisters, Moyra is now being cared for at a local hospice. Please continue to pray for Moyra, Kate and the whole family.

Please can we ask for prayer for Moyra, Kate and their family as Moyra collapsed on Sunday, and was responded to by Paramedics. Moyra is feeling a bit better today and praising God and His wonderful name.

David had a severe stroke on 3 May 2022. He is unable to speak or move. Please pray for healing for him and his wife, Dawn that they would know the Lord's peace.

Please pray as the Church Leaders have just received their final invitation to the meal. Also, the delegates form went out so pray for members to sign up to participate.

David would appreciate prayers as he is going to have an operation in Guys Hospital tomorrow (Monday 25th) to remove cancer. It will be a tricky operation as he has other underlying internal illness and has been told that there is a chance of death.

Please pray for the committee – Phillip Ferdani, Andrew Newham, Richard Morrison, Ben Worth, David and Wendy Patterson and Geoff & Jane Mann. Pray for wisdom and grace as we serve the Lord in Good News for everyone. Pray for safety on 27th, 28th and 29th April as people work across the area of Greater Birmingham being covered by the Scripture Focus, and will be tired. Pray that all establishments will say “Yes please”. Pray for an opportunity give out to key worker Testaments. Pray for people to turn to Jesus, this is our goal.
