David and Jenny Morgan, members of Lothians Branch, their Daughter who has been suffering from Cancer for some time under treatment, has had her treatment paused because she has lost the feeling in her hands and feet, king things difficult for her children. Iain her husband is offshore which places the burden on Jenny who is no coping to well with this situation.

The funeral and Thanksgiving Service for Richard, who went to be with His Lord on 30th June, was held last Friday. Attendance was, of course, limited by Covid rules, but some 80 people were able to gather for the service.
Robert Snaith, Branch Treasurer, spoke of Richard's long and devoted service to Gideons/GNfE.
Richard, amongst other occupations, a local magistrate, had joined the Association in September 1959, serving in most of the Branch roles. He and his wife, Elizabeth, were passionate about the presentation of PWTs to individuals, as well as to the various Wolverhampton establishments.
The front of the Order of Service fittingly quoted the verse "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith"
Please remember Elizabeth, now in her 90s, and the family (son, daughters, grandchildren)

Praise for satellite stations being sorted, for the data bases being completed and for personal witnessing joining with the satellite station Churches wherever possible on the Saturday of the focus. Prayer for more people to join the Focus distribution in the south and west of London.

Please pray for Mabel who has been admitted to hospital and just received a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. Pray also for her husband Mike and their family.

Please remember Moyra in your prayers, she has been in hospital for the past few days, in pain and struggling to get comfortable.
Please also remember the family, especially dear Kate.

National Pastoral Support

Please pray for the planned Recruitment event that is to be held for the Brecon and Radnor Branch on Monday 9 August 2021. Invitations have gone out to 12 individuals and will be followed up bilaterally with them in the next week or so.

Thank you for your prayers for this Event last Wednesday evening.

Four potential members for our Branch attended and, at short notice, one lady who has moved into the Region and could join another of our Branches. It was great to have them all present.

Please pray that those the Lord is calling into the Association will obey that call and join.

We would value your prayers for this Event on Wednesday 30 June at 19.30. Duncan Harvey, National Membership Adviser, Susan Judge, Region 7 Director, Beth Auger, Branch Chairman, and myself will be contributing.

So far few of those invited have promised to attend so please pray more will come and those the Lord is calling to join will indeed do so. The Branch needs a refresh of new people.

Please pray for North Yorks/South Tees & Hartlepool/North Tees branches as they decide on distribution points for our Teesside Scripture Focus

Please pray for the Committee as they continue to work on this year's Focus. For satellite stations and manpower to run them, the surveys covering care homes, funeral directors and homeless hostels, the telephone teams in August with at least 40 people needed to take on this role, for registration of those in and around London and for personal witnessing on the Saturday.
