Happy New Year to all and especially Gideons and Friends reading this prayer request from Chris & Angela Axelby of Doncaster GideonsUK.

Thank you for partnering with us in prayer on this first trip from GideonsUK working with ShareWordGlobal of Canada.

All our plans are completely reliant on God ( for background please see our first posting re this trip including the miracle of flights provision in an earlier Prayer Request)

We will travel to London tomorrow (Wednesday 2/1/19) and fly from Heathrow at 06:00 on Thursday D.V.

Below you will find a brief itinerary provided by our hosts in Moldova:

Jan, 3 - Team arrival in Chisnau, Moldova.

Jan, 4 - Packing with the local team 1800 childrens gift boxes and evening program in the village near the Chisinau city (city where you stay).

Jan, 5 - Visit 2 villages - Transnistria region (morning) and North of Moldova. We don’t come back to the hotel but sleep in another hotel or someones house.

Jan 6 - (Orthodox Church Christmas)  Visit two villages or citifies in the North of Moldova - Briceni and Ocnita cities (in Ocnita we opened kids playground in summer time). Returning back to the hotel in Chisinau, Bible League.

Jan, 7 - Program in the Church without Walls? and shopping day (a little bit rest)

Jan 8 and 9 - Visiting villages in the South of Moldova, Gagauzia region - 4 or 5 villages. We sleep there in the youth center, where is the School without Walls branch. We will make program for the kids in the churches or village clubs, or will go from house to house giving the gifts. Returning back to the hotel in Chisinau, Bible League.

    Jan, 10 - Team departure.

In each village will be from 100 to 250 kids.

Angela, the team and I really appreciate any prayers that you can send up for this outreach. We are now only 7-8 people. Chris & Angela are the oldest participants and only Brits.

    CYNTHIA ELLIS   (Vale of Glamorgan)

16th Feb 2019  - Please continue to lift our dear bother David before the Lord. He is now home but very poorly indeed.

Dec 2018 - David and Brenda thank you for your prayers.  Although the tumours have not spread from the liver, the course of chemotherapy has not worked; David has declined the offer of a much harsher course of treatment which has more serious side effects, his aim being to recover from the side effects arisen over the last six months and to regain strength, wellbeing and a better quality of life. Your continued prayers will be very much appreciated.

We are now getting nearer our departure on Thursday 3 June 06:00 from Heathrow.

Please pray for Barry our trip leader. Barry has been ill since returning from his last mission to Kenya on December 3rd. We had opportunity to pray with him via Skype this evening.

Please pray for Chris & Angela Axelby of Doncaster branch. Chris & Angela have been invited as a couple to take part in a ShareWordGlobal [SWG] Mission trip to Moldova 3-10th January 2019. Chris & Angela are in contact with Barry Chalifoux(24) who is SWG's Global Development Manager. Our flights were provided and booked in a miraculous way by our Father. We will post more details as we learn them from Barry, but please do pray for the distributions of God's word that will take place at the Orthodox Church's Christmas date that week and the distribution of Gift shoe boxes to children in Europe's poorest country. Many of you have been faithfully praying for our learning disabilities daughter Sarah over the last 6 months, for which we thank you so much.  Sarah has now finished her 6 sessions of gruelling chemotherapy - each session was 5 days long!  She had a PET scan last Tuesday and we have now been given the results.  As most of you know she only had one working lung during the treatment, as her lymphoma had crushed the other, had crept up into her neck and round her windpipe.  In her own words' I have two lungs now, God has totally healed me, I am clear of cancer, thank you for praying for me'.  The next 6 months will be used in trying to get her strength back, get her walking again and climbing stairs, and eventually back to her voluntary work and her own home.

Geoff and  I thank you so much for praying, we really valued your prayers, and the Lord has answered them in a wonderfully positive way.

    God Bless
