Please remember Harold and wife Mildred in your prayers. Harold has just been diagnosed with an aggresive form of stomach cancer
and is about to begin a course of chemotherapy. Pray for strength and healing for Harold and wisdom for those who will treat him.
Laurie was Lidia's chief carer for many months until she had to be moved to a Care Home near Colchester last year. Her dementia now means that she can barely swallow fluids, and hardly recognises Laurie. With his own health, Laurie struggles with everyday tasks, but continues to live independently. Please pray for them both, particularly for peace for Lidia, and for strength and support for Laurie.
Thank you, Anne Owen
David has fallen whilst on holiday and has cracked ribs. He is in hospital for the next couple of days and has some holiday left before he comes home. Please pray for his recovery and for alleviation of pain.

Please continue to remember Joyce in prayer following her visit on 26 February 2019 to see the urology consultant.
Whilst her initial problem relates to a tumour on her right kidney it has now become known that her left kidney is not functioning as it should.
Please remember the medical team as they seek to establish ‘the way forward’ along with Joyce, Mike and the family.
3rd April 2019 - further update from Brenda ref, David.
We would appreciate continuing prayer following David having a chest infection over last weekend and the Doctors concern over problems with his stomach and bowel currently; which may mean he will not be able to remain at home.
Many thanks Brenda
16th Feb 2019 - Please continue to lift our dear bother David before the Lord. He is now home but very poorly indeed. Dec 2018 - David and Brenda thank you for your prayers. Although the tumours have not spread from the liver, the course of chemotherapy has not worked; David has declined the offer of a much harsher course of treatment which has more serious side effects, his aim being to recover from the side effects arisen over the last six months and to regain strength, wellbeing and a better quality of life. Your continued prayers will be very much appreciated.
Dear Fellow Gideons
The arrangements for the Scripture Focus in Lochaber are progressing well. There is still room for willing workers who can drive and distribute Scriptures in this very rural area. If you had considered coming but had missed the deadline of 31 January, this has now been extended to 13 February. We sent out a members mailing in December and have been very encouraged by the widespread response. If you would like to take part in this outreach please contact el.gideons@gmail.com to obtain a booking form.
Yours in His Service
